Olympic Readathon: Quick Thoughts – The Chaperone

30 pages in…

Reading The Chaperone and I remembered reading something that Elizabeth McGovern would star in the film adaptation.

I’m guessing Ms. McGovern would play Cora Carlisle– Louise’s chaperone in the film. I’ve only ever seen Ms. McGovern in Downton Abbey where she is named Cora Crawley.

Nope…not confusing at all. Though it would be kind of funny if they mashed up the two and it turns out it IS Cora Crawley chaperoning Louise Brooks.

Luckily the two stories are so different it won’t matter, but it does make me wonder if Elizabeth McGovern chooses roles based on the characters name.

(I looked at IMDB, she’s been a non-Cora in lots of things I’ve never seen.)
