Last week I didn’t do a recap, instead I posted about my favorite books of the year. There are many missing (I have to stop myself from editing the list daily) because I truly enjoyed A LOT of books this year. Anyway…the true test is how many of them I remember at the end of next year. Classics aren’t born in a year…it takes decades. Right?
Other than that, my bookish life has really slowed down. I haven’t finished anything since the Fannie Flagg and my currently reading shelf is a little busy as you can see below.
Hopefully I’ll finish everything by the end of the year….
Let’s discuss something a little less depressing than my dismal relationship with reading: Christmas.
I LOVE giving gifts and hot chocolate and Christmas trees and cookies. As we do here in our apartment, we bought new Disney ornaments this year. In fact, our tree ONLY has our Disney ornaments this year because Jesse says last year our tree was out of control (apparently it wasn’t out of control in 2011). I worked in retail for a long time — Christmas trees should have two ornaments per branch and enough lights to read by. This year our tree is far less bright & shiny, but still lovely.
